What kind of flowers can I grow under a lemon tree?

I have a Lemon tree in a cutout circle on a patio. I’d like to grow something, ground cover or flowers under the lemon tree but I haven’t had much luck with anthing even though it gets plenty of sun. Is there anything that will grow under a lemon tree?

Try sedum, or creeping thyme.

Yes! Azealas do great under my lemon, as do hens and chicks and false mexican heather.

My citrus trees have ivy geraniums as well as herbs sage parsley thyme oregano marjoram rosemary basil and even have strawberry plant.
