How do you prepare real flowers that will be placed on a wedding cake?

By admin | April 23, 2010

Rodnie A asked:

I’ve been asked to use real hydrangeas on a wedding cake that I will make and I just want to know if there is a proper method to prepare the flowers for arrangement on the cake. I don’t want to just cut the stems and stick the flower in the cake. I’m being mindful of the fact that the cake will most definitely be consumed. I don’t want the wedding guests to get sick.

The cakeso never stick flowers all work together.
Flowers could have been exposed to the cake as regular flowers could have been exposed to use organic.
