Hi is it safe to store my flowers in the refrigerator for 9 hrs?

Hi I want to know is it better to store my flowers for 9hrs in my refrigerator? Or should I just store my flowers on a large glass with water? Thank you so much!

Note:I want to give my flowers to my friend & she is special.

      The freezer though somewhere between 3440 is ideal.
